About Us
Five Star Resources is a family-owned company that has focused on purchasing oil and gas rights from private mineral owners as well as corporations for over thirty years. We are based out of North Texas so naturally we were active in the early days of shale drilling in our local Barnett Shale formation.
We still have assets in Texas but we began working primarily in Pennsylvania in 2008 and West Virginia in 2015. Since that time, we have purchased many thousands of acres in Appalachia, sometimes via large acquisitions and other times buying one acre at a time.
